Hanoverian - Seen at the olympics and equestrian competitions
This breed is from Germany and originally used to pull carriages. Nowadays you see them prominently in the Olympics and English equestrian competitions. Demand for them dwindled after the First World War, but after the second, their demand for them as sport horses led to a revival of the breed.
They are adaptable, easily trained, graceful and agile. They are also strong and muscular. They are mainly chestnut, bay, grey, black and brown, rarely white. They stand approximately 15 to 17 hands.
They are undoubtedly beautiful and intelligent. As well as willing, bold yet even tempered and sensible. They are used across the board for activities including riding, hunting, jumping, dressage and are highly valued in equestrian events.
