Pop star loves horse care

A pop star and budding actress has expressed her love for horse care.
Speaking to TeenHollywood.com, AJ Michalka - who is starring in equestrian film Secretariat and also forms one half of a popular teenage band, 78Violet, formerly known as Aly and AJ - said that she loved the idea of featuring in a movie about horses.
"I've been riding since I was six. I'm a major horse rider and horse lover. I ride Western [saddle] and English but I was really an equestrian hunter/jumper when I was younger," she explained.
The 19-year-old went on to add that she had thoroughly enjoyed interacting with many of the equines on set.
Meanwhile, another Hollywood star to get involved in the sport is Katherine Heigl - although the actress told the Daily Star that her foray behind the reins had not gone well, as she had unnerved the horse so much it eventually bolted with her on its back.
