Any horse insurance shopper looking to purchase some early Christmas gifts might be doubly motivated if they know that they can spend without guilt.
Such an opportunity looks to be coming up on Sunday November 14th, as The Donkey Sanctuary throws open its doors in time for its annual Christmas craft fair.
To be held at the charity's Slade House headquarters in Sidmouth, Devon - the only one of its many farms to be open to the public, as others care for sick and infirm donkeys - it will see supporters enjoying a variety of stalls loaded down with handmade goods and items for sale.
These include wildlife photographs that could be framed for a festive treat and knick-knacks carved from driftwood.
"These are much in demand and we hope that visitors will find something they love, knowing that they bought it directly from the person who made it ," organiser Claire Shapcott said.
