EoTM - Racehorse Rehoming

Here at Animal Friends we operate a scheme where each Manager from Customer Services, Sales and Sales are able to nominate a member of their staff as 'Employee of the Month'.  The recipient is awarded £1,000 to give to an animal charity of their choice.

In June 2011, the winner from the Sales Department was Emma Hewlett.  Emma has become one of our top performers in Pet and Equines by consistently hitting her targets, even staying extra hours to make sure she is achieving them.

Emma is always eager to help others and takes pride in working for Animal Friends and always looking for ways to promote us through her love of Horses and competing. She also never misses opportunities when conversing with clients over the telephone; she has had mentions via Facebook and recently spoke to a policyholder who works at a Kennels sending our leaflets promoting our pet insurance.

Emma has chosen to donate her £1000 to Racehorse Rehoming, a fantastic charity based in the village of Combe St Nicholas in South Somerset. They are a small rescue centre, dedicated to the care and recuperation of retired racehorses which would otherwise be put down once their use in the racing industry had ‘run out’. This wonderful charity gives them a new start and a chance at something different by helping to train them in another trade, as well as providing them with a secure and safe home for the rest of their lives.

All of us here at Animal Friends are delighted that Emma chose this worthwhile charity and hope that the donation will help them to achieve their goals.
