Charlie the horse rallies support

The owner of a horse tethered by the road near Tunstall has had to speak out about the difficult situation the horse is in after concerned motorists have flooded the RSPCA with calls.
Jenny Wooton bought the horse named Charlie from her friend five weeks ago, after feeding him for around a year. She bough him as she had developed a bond with the hardy creature, and wanted to ensure his wellbeing. His current placement is down to lack of options, as Jenny states that Charlie has not yet had his shots and is unable to be placed with other horses. She has been saving up to pay for the shots and maintain feeding him.
Despite her stating that he is a hardy breed, many people are of the belief that he should be moved sooner rather than later for his own benefit. His tethering keeps him safe from the main road, but if he was moved to a more secure location then there would be no danger in an case. A Facebook group, ‘Help Save Ned’ has been set up to rally support for the horse, and the group are hoping that they can get Charlie moved to a more secure location for his own safety.
Animal Friends hopes that Charlie’s situation will be resolved before the harsh winter weather sweeps in, and we hope that Jenny manages to resolve his situation, as it is clear that she cares very much for Charlie.
