Hope given a home

A wonderful story has come out in news today after a horse that was found slowly drowning to death in a field was rehomed with the vet who saved her life.
The horse has been named Hope, and was found in a terrible state. Barbed wire had wrapped around her leg so tight that she couldn’t wok herself free, and the poor horse was so exhausted she couldn’t stand by herself. Vet Vikki Fowler was worried that Hope would have to be put to sleep after fears that she would be too injured to fully recover.
Fortunately Hope made the effort to stay on her feet and feed, showing a determination and will to live that has rallied support for her cause. Vikki has now rehomed Hope after negotiating a sale from the filly’s original owner, and Vikki is hoping that she will soon manage to stand by herself.
A Facebook group has been launched to raise awareness of the plight of those other horses kept in the muddy field located just outside of Horwich. You can find the group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/168491569916823/, where Vikki often posts pictures about Hope and how she is doing. Here at Animal Friends we all think that what Vikki has done for Hope is fantastic, and we wish them all the best.
