Spindles Farm horses ready to be rehomed

The equine care unit of the RSPCA is appealing for help rehoming some of the 17 horses rescued from Spindles Farm.
The premises, in Amersham, was the site of the now-notorious James Grey horse cruelty case, which saw over 100 animals rescued from squalor where they stood amid the corpses of 32 others.
Now the RSPCA, which cares for many of the animals, says that almost 20 of the horses have recovered from their starved and sick state and are ready to be moved on to new homes and loving families.
"We're looking for patient, experienced owners who have the facilities, time, knowledge and money needed to care for the horses for the rest of their lives," equine rehoming officer Sally Learoyd said.
She added that as many of the animals are very young, the families will need to be committed to providing a long-term home for them.
Grey was recently given eight months in jail after absconding from court during sentencing.
