Twitter star pony offered new home

The pony from Wrexham who has become the latest star of social network Twitter after having been spotted in a variety of locations, such as the local pub and whilst trying to board a train, has been offered a home by the Flicka Foundation.
A spokesperson for the charity has stated that the pony appears to be in foal, and as such the foundation have offered the owner £200 to buy the pony from him in order to give it a safe and secure home where medical treatment can be administered if necessary.
There have been no concerns raised by the animal welfare department of Wrexham Council, so this offer is merely intended to improve the pony’s lifestyle rather than rescue it from poor treatment.
The Flicka Foundation looks after more than 50 horses and ponies on a 30-acre site just outside Falmouth, providing food, shelter and medical care. Animal Friends Insurance has donated £1000 to the Flicka Foundation previously as a part of our Employee of the Month award, as this small charity makes a big difference to the lives of the animals it rescues.
