Horse care advice issued by expert

A leading equine trainer has handed out some invaluable horse care tips.
According to Reg Fleming, the secret horse care ingredient is simple - common sense.
''You go to the stables, you look after the horses, and then they look after you. You feed 'em well, train 'em well and if they've got the ability they'll do it," he told the Sydney Morning Herald.
Mr Fleming told the newspaper that he aims to have his horses tucked up for the night by 20:30 GMT at the latest to ensure they get plenty of rest.
The first stage of the daily horse care process than begins at 04:00 GMT, when stable staff check hooves and the equines are taken on a walk, before breakfast is given to them.
This advice from Mr Fleming comes shortly after a piece published on DressageDaily.com stated that an important part of horse care is maintaining healthy hooves.
A good quality farrier should then be used for the horse's feet after the shoeing work is completed.
