Rider puts contest win down to his horse

A rider has put his recent success in a national contest down to his relationship with his horse.
Speaking to the Ventura County Star, Tucker Robinson - who attended horse event the National Reined Cow Horse Association Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Championship only to scoop $100,000 (£63,824) - said few people knew how effective he was behind the reins.
The competition sees entrants practice western-style equestrian skills, including sliding stops and rounding up bovines, which means they will be in western saddles complete with horns and riding one-handed.
Mr Robinson says he cannot remember a time in his life when he was not in the saddle and is particularly proud of his current mount and contest winner Special Little Oak.
"In a competition, you got two-and-a-half minutes to show your horse's abilities. How well he stops, how well he turns, how much expression he has on a cow. It's kind of like a little dance," he added.
